Bristol officers accused of 'misleading' over development

Officers at Bristol City Council have been accused of providing ‘misleading’ advice linked to a decision to approve a controversial 28-storey development.

A pre-action protocol letter, sent to the authority by lawyers on behalf of the Bristol Civic Society (BSC), warns the council faces a potential judicial review of the planning decision if it proceeds with the current development plan. The BSC opposes the development for student accommodation on other grounds, too, including heritage impact.
