A minister has quashed suggestions oversight of audit should be handed to the Office for Local Government (Oflog).
Local government minister Simon Hoare told the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee Oflog had a ‘big and chunky enough section of work to do’ tracking councils’ performance and he preferred to ‘keep the two workstreams separate’.
