Atkins boss hails Northern ‘spirit’

The Northern Powerhouse project is helping to create a ‘real spirit of continued investment’ in infrastructure, according to the UK boss of international engineering firm Atkins.

Speaking to The MJ as the company announced a 14% rise in underlying pre-tax profits for 2014/15, Nick Roberts, who is the chief executive of Atkins’ UK and European business said he really appreciates ‘the steadfastness of the Government’s messages around infrastructure spend as a key underpinning for economic growth’.
