Brighton and Hove fails to agree budget

Members of Brighton and Hove City Council have failed to agree a budget at their annual budget meeting for the second year running.

Councillors met last night to consider plans by the ruling Green Party for a referendum-triggering council tax increase of 5.99%, as part of its proposals for a 2015/16 budget.
