Businesses warn against rushing into devolution

Business leaders will today warn against ministers rushing into deals to devolve more powers.

In a speech to be given later today at an IPPR North event, the director-general of the Confederation of British Industry, John Cridland, is expected to say that any devolution of powers ‘must be done in a careful, considered and transparent manner’.
