Chief executive's cycling expenses hit brakes

Cambridgeshire CC chief executive Mark Lloyd has decided not to claim back his cycling expenses in recognition of the council’s ‘financial restraints,’ it has emerged.

Mr Lloyd has also reimbursed the council for the ‘small handful of journeys’ previously included in mileage claims - 40p after cycling the two miles from his house to Cambridge train station and a further 20p for a one mile journey.
