The Leeds City Council boss has insisted local government must ‘lead the escape’ after a NHS leader described his members as ‘prisoners’ within the current healthcare framework.
Speaking at The MJ’s Future Forum North, chief executive Tom Riordan claimed the health issue was bigger than the financial one and suggested health provider chief executives were not best placed to tackle it.
