Council’s deal to sell off ACL brings Wasps to Coventry

Coventry City Council has agreed to sell its share in the company that runs the Ricoh Arena to the Wasps Rugby Club, in a deal reportedly worth around £30m.

The deal to sell the local authority’s stake in ACL was agreed unanimously last week at a council meeting.

The agreement also guarantees Coventry City Football Club’s continuing tenancy at the football stadium.
