Cracks are showing in devo deals

The ink had barely dried on the East Anglia devolution deal when it started to crumble.

Before it was even signed, the mammoth 22-council combined authority had lost Cambridge – the economic jewel in its crown – and just days later Cambridgeshire CC’s full council was calling it ‘unacceptable in its current form’.

Now it is the turn of Norfolk CC to pull back with its leader, Cllr George Nobbs, outlining his concerns in The MJ this week.
