Directors’ dismay over Hunt’s bed-blocking funding threats

Adult social care directors have been left ‘very disappointed’ after the Government threatened to take away funding from areas that failed to reduce bed-blocking.

Health secretary Jeremy Hunt this week said the Government would consider reviewing how the extra funding announced in the Budget would be allocated in 2018/19 for ‘areas that are poorly performing’.
