Districts to explore combined authority without county

The six districts in Cumbria are expected to bid to become a combined authority without the county council’s involvement.

Allerdale BC leader, Cllr Alan Smith, said the joint district leaders committee have been discussing the possibility of submitting a devolution bid to central government.
