EXCLUSIVE: IT systems ‘not ready for capped care cost reforms’

Payments under the Care Act could be hit by delays unless councils wake up to the ‘big IT implications’ in the new legislation, local authority directors have been warned.

Director of policy and research at the Society of Information Technology Management, Martin Ferguson, told The MJ the issue should be higher up adult social care directors’ agenda.
