Government should team with businesses on planning

The British Property Federation (BPF) has called on the Government to work with the private sector to speed up planning applications in light of a study that shows decisions are taking twice as long as the Government target.

According to the annual planning survey, carried out by GL Hearn and the BPF, the average time between submission and decision for major planning applications is 32 weeks across London, Greater Manchester and Bristol.
