Improvement cash could be up for grabs

The budget for improvement services could be opened up to the private sector, as exclusively revealed by The MJ, communities secretary Eric Pickles has confirmed.

In a written statement to Parliament today, Mr Pickles said: ‘The coalition Government’s policy is to open up budgets to competition wherever possible.
