Communities secretary Sajid Javid has announced plans to return further powers to Rotherham MBC following ‘steady improvement’ at the authority.
Mr Javid said he was minded to return the extra powers to Rotherham in the wake of the latest progress report by the government-appointed commissioner team, which has been overseeing key services at the authority since an intervention in 2015.
