LGA hits back at 'unfair' council tax claim

Local authorities are justified in using council tax to expedite the delivery of new homes on to the market, the Local Government Association (LGA) has said.

The LGA spoke out after leading builders’ trade association, the Federation of Master Builders (FMB), called on the Government to address what it described as ‘unfair council tax charges’ on house builders.
