MPs have been warned of an impending North-South divide over adult care provision caused by the funding crisis.
Health and care chiefs told a select committee inquiry into the impact of the Spending Review on adult care that a combination of council tax shortfalls, deprivation and higher demand could hit poorer councils, especially in the North.
