Morgan threatens more government intervention

Education secretary Nicky Morgan has insisted she will not ‘shy away’ from intervening in poorly performing local authorities.

Speaking at the National Children’s and Adult Services Conference in Manchester today, Ms Morgan said Whitehall would not tolerate poor practice and would continue to wade in where Ofsted judged services to be inadequate.
