The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has apologised after incorrectly claiming some local authorities had failed to pass on grants to parish and town councils.
NALC published a list of 17 authorities last week that it claimed had withheld a total of £3.8m from the localisation of council tax support grant, but has since updated the list to just 15 councils, removing both Wyre Forest DC and Surrey Heath BC.
