NHS calls for more cash to meet funding shortfall

The NHS has launched a plea for more cash as NHS England announced there will be an £8bn a year black hole in funding over the next five years - and called for more measures on health prevention.

NHS England chief executive, Simon Stevens, laid out a stark £30bn funding gap in his Five Year Forward View and has set out plans to transform services.
