Pickles criticises chief executive’s Cyprus sojourn

Eric Pickles has blasted Brentwood BC after it emerged its temporary chief executive has spent the last three months working from her new Cyprus home.

Jo-Anne Ireland was appointed as temporary chief executive last year, but the Brentwood Gazette revealed last week that she moved to the Mediterranean island in December and has been working remotely from there, with a trip once a month back to the UK.
