Public health budgets facing further cuts

Public health grants are to fall by almost 20% over the next five years, according to the latest government figures.

A letter to council chief executives and directors of public health, which was sent out yesterday by the Department of Health, shows the public health grant settlement is to fall by 19.2% in real terms by 2020/21.
