Report slams lack of care progress

A major report into standards of care for disabled people has called for ‘much faster and sustainable progress’ in transforming services.

The government-commissioned independent report, Transforming Care: A National Response to Winterbourne View Hospital, looks at the progress made by health and social care organisations to improve standards in the two years since the BBC One programme Panorama uncovered the abuse of patients at the Gloucestershire facility.
