Time to transform

This week will mark six months since the prime minister took office.

In a relatively short space of time, spurred on by the fallout from the EU referendum, Theresa May’s government has kicked most of her predecessors’ flagship policies into the abyss.

While Mrs May has committed to continuing former chancellor George Osborne’s devolution initiative, it has become clear the focus has shifted away from public sector reform in favour of rebalancing the economy and kickstarting her industrial strategy.
