A recent report published by accountancy firm Grant Thornton has cited Tower Hamlets as having one of the most dynamic economies in the country.

The borough was ranked first on the high growth index, analysing demographics (including such factors as a skilled, young and active workforce and diverse communities), and economic potential for growth as well as environmental elements.

The index showed Tower Hamlets as having better growth compared to cities including Manchester and Birmingham and leading the way amongst local authorities, not just in London, but across the country.

The report emphasised the important role local authorities have in stimulating economic growth and dynamism through creative and innovative solutions.
