A manifesto for local government

By now we have had time to consider how disappointingly little the three main parties have had to say about, and offer, local government in their manifestos.

There are certainly no radical changes suggested in the role or powers of local government and where the centralised nature of our political system is recognised the solutions provided do little to stimulate fundamental change.
