Active fund management 'expensive folly'

Active fund management of the local government pension scheme’s (LGPS) assets has been an ‘expensive folly,’ a new report has claimed.

The report published yesterday by the Centre for Policy Studies think-tank found an ‘extraordinary range’ in total annual costs per member across funds, with Enfield’s £592 being 21 times larger than West Yorkshire’s £28.
