Adult social care and NHS equally important, sector warns

The NHS will continue to struggle as long as adult social care remains underfunded, the sector has stressed after NHS England called for more funding yesterday.

Addressing a conference in Birmingham, NHS England chief executive Simon Stevens said that waiting lists for surgery patients could grow to five million by 2021 without further funding.
