Whitehall cannot fully assess the success of local government’s role in resettling Syrian refugees until next year, officials have warned.
Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chair, Meg Hillier, had wanted Whitehall to produce baselines against which the effectiveness of local resettlements could be measured by the end of last week.
