Auditors may consider 'emerging risks'

Auditors could be given ‘more flexibility to consider emerging risks’ after the National Audit Office (NAO) said it would consider the move.

In a summary of responses to its code of audit practice consultation, the NAO said it recognised that some emerging risks may not be viewed as significant in the year of audit but could still have a ‘significant impact on the audited body over the medium-term’.
