Austerity 'rules out reorganisation option'

Further reorganisation of council structures is no longer possible because of continuing austerity, local government leaders in Wales have warned.

Instead, public services should be ‘reconfigured’ through partnerships and regional collaborative models which local government has already developed, the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) said.
