Labour councillors in Wakefield have warned they will lose confidence in their leader Peter Box if he fails to improve children’s services.
A motion passed by Wakefield City Council last week called for Cllr Box to make urgent improvements to the department following a damning report by Ofsted, which warned ‘serious and widespread failures’ had left young people at risk.
