Brokenshire 'minded to' end Rotherham intervention

Rotherham MBC is expected to regain control of all its services, local government secretary James Brokenshire has announced.

The Government appointed three commissioners to intervene three years ago in the wake of the child sexual exploitation scandal in Rotherham, where ‘significant failings’ were uncovered in the running of the council.
