Brum praised for tackling illegal schools

Ofsted’s chief inspector has praised Birmingham City Council for working with the regulator to tackle illegal schools.

In a speech at a Birmingham conference last week, Amanda Spielman thanked the council for passing on information to Ofsted that helped to uncover 10 illegal schools in the city in the last two years.
