Brum to implement bin strike deal

Beleaguered Birmingham City Council is finally expected to implement the deal that ended an acrimonious bin strike – four months behind schedule.

Britain’s largest local authority ended its dispute with the Unite trade union in November, when it agreed to allow 106 staff to stay on their current wages but in redefined roles.
