Business rates retention future 'unclear'

A think-tank has questioned whether plans for 100% business rates retention will make it back onto Parliament’s agenda after the General Election.

The Centre for Cities also warned that the snap General Election could mean that new directly-elected mayors arrive in office without key powers at their disposal.
