The Cabinet Office has denied rumours it is concerned infrastructure firm Interserve is headed in the same direction as failed Carillion.
After reports were circulated that a team had been formed to monitor Interserve, the Government insisted its scrutiny of the firm was part of a general overview of all the companies it works with.
