The Calais Jungle is a ‘moral outrage’ and councils stand ready to take care of the children of asylum seekers, the Labour party conference has been told.
Addressing the conference, Local Government Association senior vice president Nick Forbes urged prime minister Theresa May to shut down the ‘abomination’ and allow councils to deal with the people.
