Call for Cobra meeting with regional leaders

A call has been made to the Prime Minister to hold a Cobra meeting with regional leaders.

The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, pressed for the civil contingencies committee to reconvene ‘urgently’ with leaders from the English regions, London, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to ‘improve dialogue’ between local and national government, and speed up decision-making.
