Call for clarity in homeless support

Whitehall mandarins have been confronted over councils’ frustration in supporting homeless people with no recourse to public funds (NRPF).

The Public Accounts Committee called for clearer Government guidance for councils on using discretionary funds while questioning permanent secretary at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, Jeremy Pocklington, and other senior civil servants.
