Call for 'long overdue' data collection review

A ‘root and branch review of Government data collection’ has been called for by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).

Head of analytics and research at CIPFA, David Caplan, said the current list was driven by the needs of Whitehall and a review that took the needs of councils and citizens into account was ‘long overdue’.
