Call for multi-year funding

Ministers have been urged to commit to multi-year settlements for local government by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).

In its submission to the Government’s Spending Review, CIPFA said that despite the financial uncertainty brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and Brexit, multi-year settlements were crucial to the 'long-term sustainability of public services’.
