Calls for top-level resignations over refurbishment’s misuse of public cash

An opposition Herefordshire Council member has called for ‘top-level resignations’ after auditors blamed ‘poor budget management’ for costs of a project spiralling out of control.

Group leader of the It’s Our County party, Anthony Powers, told The MJ there was ‘scope for police involvement’ following a report that found evidence officers ‘knowingly disregarded council process and procedure’ while working on the refurbishment of Blueschool House.
