Care home plans deadline unrealistic, say councils

Councils have warned that tomorrow’s deadline for producing care home support plans is ‘unrealistic’.

In a message to councils, Local Government Association chief executive, Mark Lloyd, wrote: ‘We are communicating our concerns to government, being very clear that the timescales will impact on the ability of councils to produce comprehensive and well-co-ordinated plans.
