Casey review is not over – it’s just the start for councils

After months and months of waiting, Dame Louise Casey’s report has finally seen the light of day. It may have been an epic wait to get here, but now it is done. But of course it isn’t – this is just the start. Now local and central government should be leaping into action.

We have been here before. From the Cantle review on community cohesion to Darra Singh’s commission – local government knows its own communities and has been tasked with tackling the lack of integration.
