Cash cuts curb employment aid

Budget cuts are preventing councils from delivering employment and skills support, according to a new report.

Although eight in 10 councils said they were taking steps to improve employment and skills provision in their area, 84% said attempts were being thwarted by under-funding, a report published today said.
