Chief executive confident in councils' contract management skills

Worcestershire CC’s new chief executive, Paul Robinson, has dismissed claims that local authorities do not have the skills to manage private finance initiative (PFI) contracts.

In January, a report by the Institute for Government claimed local authorities lacked the skills necessary to manage PFI contracts and risked not getting the best value for money.
