Chief vows to make kid’s services Tower Hamlets’ top priority

Tower Hamlets LBC’s chief executive has vowed to make children’s services an ‘absolute priority’ after inspectors branded them inadequate.

Will Tuckley and director of children’s services Debbie Jones – Ofsted’s former national director of social care – were criticised for ‘insufficient scrutiny,’ meaning the council was unaware of the extent of its failures.
