Chief who turned round council to leave

Eden DC’s chief executive has announced he will leave at the end of May after seven years’ service.

Council leader, Cllr Kevin Beaty, said Dr Robin Hooper, 56, had joined the local authority on an interim basis when it had financial challenges but would leave behind a ‘stable council with strong reserves’.
