Child welfare under threat

As hard-pressed local authorities cut back on children’s social care, the safety and welfare of children is being undermined by the differing thresholds for intervention being applied across the country.

For me and my fellow parliamentarians, who make up the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Children, this was not a conclusion we came to without careful consideration.
